Lamb Stew

Ingredients:
500 gm lamb pieces washed and wiped 1 cup coarsely chopped onions 2 tbsp olive oil 2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp powdered black pepper 4 cups water 1/4 cup thickly sliced carrots 3/4 cup diced potatoes 1/4 cup french beans cut into 2-3 pieces each 1/8 tsp nutmeg
Method: Heat oil and add onions and stir-fry till soft. Increase the heat to high and add meat. Stir-fry till opaque. Lower heat, . Add water, bring to a boil, and then simmer till meat is half done. Add beans, potatoes, carrots, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Continue to simmer till meat is tender. Chicken stew is made similarly, but cooks faster
