Ingredients
Beef Cubes 500 gms
Turnips 250 gms
Onion chopped 45 gms
Garlic chopped 20 gms
Celery chopped 45 gms
Tomatoes 45 gms
Beef Stock/Water 500 ml
Olive Oil 30 ml
Salt 15 gms
Pepper 5 gms
Method
Marinate the beef by adding salt pepper and little oil and leave aside for an hour
Take a thick bottom pan and heat it very well, add the marinated meat and allow to brown, now add the rest of the oil and add the chopped onions, garlic, celery and stir for few minutes. Add the stock/water and bring to boil. Now reduce the flame and cover the pan and cook slowly till the meat is almost cooked.
Add the scraped and quartered turnips and cook till the turnips and the meat is well cooked, if necessary add some more water Just before finishing add the fresh tomatoes cut into cubes and cook for four to five minutes and serve hot as a wholesome meal with bread
