Ingredients
For Curry
Whole Chicken 1 Kg
Onions 100 gms
Garlic 30 gms
Malay Curry Powder 100 gms
Salt 25 gms
For Rice
Kefir Lime 2 pcs
Lime Leaf 6nos
Pandan Leaf 1 strip
Lemon grass 2 pcs
Basmati rice 500 gms
Method
In a thick bottom pan add some cooking oil and sauté the onions till light brown
Add the garlic and further continue for 3more minute Add the chicken which have been cut to desired size and continue cooking for 10 minutes now add the Malay curry powder, stir it and cook till just cooked
In a separate pan add spices for the rice, add sufficient water, salt and boil
Add the pre soaked rice to the boiling water and cook the rice till 3/4th cooked
Strain the rice
Take a pan layer chicken curry and rice in two layers after layering the rice seal the pot with a lid and put on slow fire for 25 to 30 minutes after opening the pan lightly mix rice and chicken, serve biryani with sambal
